Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine

From Ancient Origins to Modern Practice

Acupuncture is a gentle, minimally invasive form of traditional Chinese medicine (TCM). With theory and practice dating back thousands of years, it has passed the test of time and proven its effectiveness through continued clinical triumphs and extensive modern research. Its growing popularity not only in the United States, but all over the world is due to its success in treating a wide range of conditions through the regulatory effect it has on the entire body, and ability to target the root causes of imbalances.

How Does it Work?

Sterile, single-use acupuncture needles are inserted into select acupuncture points and meridians along the body to restore the proper flow of blood and energy, thereby promoting a state of healing. Modern research has shown that the insertion of acupuncture needles can actually regulate our nervous system and stimulate the release of various neurotransmitters, hormones and enzymes that influence the proper functioning of the major systems in our body!
