Integrative Bodywork Therapies

Fire Cupping

Traditional fire cupping is an ancient technique that has been performed by many cultures for centuries. Heat from fire is quickly introduced and removed from a glass cup, which creates suction as the cup is placed along various areas of the body. This provides a range of benefits including enhanced blood and lymph circulation, improved immunity, removal of toxins from the skin’s microcirculation, and reduced swelling and alleviation of pain. Modern research has identified numerous therapeutic mechanisms that are responsible for the benefits of cupping. This is one of the go to therapies for muscle pain, stiffness and soreness as well as illness prevention and recovery. This service may be provided in your Acupuncture and Integrative Medicine sessions or as a single Cupping and Chinese Medical Massage session.
